There is the eternal war between those who are in the world for what they can get out of it... and those who are in the world to make it a better place for everybody to live in.

I tell the kids, somebody's gotta win, somebody's gotta lose. Just don't fight about it. Just try to get better.

That’s a part of the sickness in America, that you have to think in terms of who wins, who loses, who’s good, who’s bad, who’s best, who’s worst…I don’t like to think that way. Everybody has their own value in different ways, and I don’t like to think who’s the best at this. I mean, what’s the point of it?

being a winner is much different from having the potential to win. Everyone has the potential; it’s what you do with that potential that really matters.

What separates the winners from the losers is how a person reacts to each new twist of fate.
