You are what you are not and are not what you are.

All we are not stares back at what we are.

That which we are, we are.

However divided we may feel within ourselves, it is the sum total of our warring fractions that make us who we are — fragmentary but indivisible.

We are fashioned creatures, but half made up.

Lord, we know what we are, but know not what we may be.

We might not be fully sure of all that we are. & yet we have endured all that we were.

Life is half spent before we know what it is.

Love is the longing for the half of ourselves we have lost.

Maybe who we are isn't so much about what we do, but rather what we're capable of when we least expect it.

What are we, if not what we see in another.

We are what we imagine ourselves to be.

What we like to think of ourselves and what we really are rarely have much in common....
