It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I believe there's a calling for all of us. I know that every human being has value and purpose. The real work of our lives is to become aware. And awakened. To answer the call.

When we're living as amateurs, we're running away from our calling — meaning our work, our destiny, the obligation to become our truest and highest selves. Addiction becomes a surrogate for our calling. We enact the addiction instead of embracing the calling. Why? Because to follow a calling requires work. It's hard. It hurts. It demands entering the pain-zone of effort, risk, and exposure.

nobody but yourself can tell you what to accept and what to reject.

"There is a sacred calling on your life, and the question is: Will you spend your life flittering and fluttering about or take the time and really heed that call and create your own path to your highest good?...You cannot let other people define your life for you. You are the author of your own life...Real power is when you are doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing, the best it can be done. Authentic power. There's a surge, there's a kind of energy field that says, "I'm in my groove, I'm in my groove." And nobody has to tell you, "You go, girl," because you know you're already gone."

Whatever you feel, you become. It is your responsibility.

What is happening within you and how you experience your life is entirely your making – your karma.

there is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It is why you where born and how you become most truly alive

Nobody can teach me who I am. You can describe parts of me, but who I am - and what I need - is something I have to find out myself.

Life is not to be told, call it as loud as you like, it will not tell itself.

Respond to every call
that excites your spirit.

We may be closest to hearing the call when we feel most alone or in trouble, for genius hides behind the wound and one of the greatest wounds in life is to not know who we are intended to be or what we are supposed to serve in life.

How you feel is not the result of what is happening in your life — it is your interpretation of what is happening.
