I define nothing. Not beauty, not patriotism. I take each thing as it is, without prior rules about what it should be.

I followed my heart without breaking any rules.

There doesn’t need to be a purpose guiding what we choose to make.

Integrity has no need of rules.

The way that most men deal with traditions, even traditions of their own country, is to receive them all alike as they are delivered, without applying any critical test whatever.

May what I do flow from me like a river, no forcing and no holding back, the way it is with children.

These are the sort of things people ought to look at. Things without pretensions, satisfied to be merely themselves.

You can accept them for what they are while at the same time not being identified with them.

I love and am loved, fully and freely, nothing expected, more than enough received.

I will accept any rules that you feel necessary to your freedom. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.
