I realize now that people are not thinking about you and me or caring what is said about us. They are thinking about themselves — before breakfast, after breakfast, and right on until ten minutes past midnight. They would be a thousand times more concerned about a slight headache of their own than they would about the news of your death or mine.

What other people think of you has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them.

If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody isn't thinking.

Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves.

If we all think alike, no one is thinking.

Nobody is evaluating you the way you are evaluating you.

Ignore what everyone else is doing.
Your life isn’t about everyone else; it’s about you.

If ordinary people complain that I speak too much of myself, I complain that they do not even think of themselves.

Do not become too concerned about what others may think of you. Be very concerned about what you think of yourself.

It's done by everyone minding their own business

And, of course, people are interested only in themselves. If a story is not about the hearer he will not listen.

I live in my own way, I don’t consider you. I don’t consider anybody at all — because if you start considering others you can’t live your life authentically. Consider and you will become phony.

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.
