We all bear scars,... Mine just happen to be more visible than most.

Scars have the strange power to remind us that our past is real.

Because we embrace our scars more than our healing. [...] We can recall the exact day we got hurt, but who remembers the day the wound was gone?

Sometimes you could see the scars and sometimes you couldn’t. But everybody had them.

Wear your scars like jewelry cause they were bought with blood.

Every scar in my face is worth it.

Beauty is not found in uniformity,
nor value in conformity. It is in our
colors and quirks and flaws and scars
that true beauty and value unfold,
because that is where our stories are told.

With all our horrors and faults, somewhere in us there is a shining.
