There isn't a way things should be. There's just what happens, and what we do.

Most of us live our lives by accident — we live as it happens. Fullfillment comes when we live our lives on purpose.

We’re neither pure, nor wise, nor good; we do the best we know.

Ah, well! We live and learn, or, anyway, we live.

We cannot always do what is best, but we can do what is practical at the time.

We work it out, or live it out.

Dream or nightmare, we have to live our experience as it is, and we have to live it awake.

Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best.

Our life is no dream, but it should and will perhaps become one.

The way out of a crisis was to deal with it as it was, not as you wished it were.

Some days, doing “the best we can” may still fall short of what we would like to be able to do, but life isn’t perfect — on any front — and doing what we can with what we have is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else.

Living is the best and we must live every day as it comes.

We need to live our experience as it is and with our eyes open. The universe is the way it is, whether we like it or not.
