Youth is not an age thing. It's a quality. Once you've had it, you never lose it.

To be young means to be original, to have remained nearer to the sources of life: it means to be able to stand up and shake off the fetters of an outlived civilization, to dare — where others lack the courage — to plunge again into the elemental.

What do most people mean when they say that? So young. Something innocent, something appealing, something helpless. But youth is not that! Youth is crude, youth is strong, youth is powerful — yes, and cruel! And one thing more — youth is vulnerable.

Youth is a circumstance you can't do anything about. The trick is to grow up without getting old.

But it itties in a straight line and bangs straight into things bang bang and it cannot help what it is doing. Being young is like being like one of these malenky machines.

What is youth? A dream. What is love? The dream's content.

To the young there are no degrees of old just as there are no degrees of dead - either you are, or you are not.

Youth can not know how age thinks and feels. But old men are guilty if they forget what it was to be young.

You will look young when you feel young, but to simply feel that you are young will not always cause you to feel young. The real feeling of youth comes when we actually think in the consciousness of youth and give the realization of the now to every thought.
