Writing is its own reward.

Virtue was its own reward.

The work reveals itself as you go.

We must do our work for its own sake, not for fortune or attention or applause.

Its reward is in the doing,
And the rapture of pursuing
Is the prize

Tis wise to do good work, but also wise
To pay the worker. Aye, and fair reward
Makes twofold pleasure, though the work be hard.

The only
thing that matters my goal my reward my beginning my end is the work itself.
My work done my way.
A private personal selfish egotistical motivation. That’s the
only way I function. That’s all I am.

On top of this, if you do great work you gain the reward of knowing you’re doing great work. Your day snaps into alignment with your dreams, and you no longer have to pretend you’re mediocre. You’re free to contribute.

The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.

Truly creative people work for work’s own sake, and if they make a public discovery or become famous that is a bonus.

Do your work, and I shall know you. Do your work, and you shall reinforce yourself.

The joy of service and the joy of inner growth through works is the sufficient recompense of the selfless worker.
