Never to have been born is best.
Everyone knows that, and a close second,
once you have appeared in this life, is a quick
return, as soon as you can, to where you came from.
In our light-headed youth we carry
blithe ideas, not knowing what blows await,
what hardships are bearing down, closer and closer.
Murder, hatred, strife, resentment, and
envy are lurking, and then, behind them, bitter old age,
powerless, friendless, with evils our only neighbors.

To Never Have been born may be the greatest boon of all

Far better for a man that he had never been born than that he should degrade a pulpit into a show box to exhibit himself in.

Not to be born surpasses thought and speech. The second best is to have seen the light and then go back quickly whence we came

"Is it not better for a man never to have been born?"
"Certaintly not" The response was brisk. "Just to be able to study the sky is reason enough to be alive."
"Unfortunately, I can't see the sky."
"Then listen to music."

Lo, sleep is good, better is death — in sooth
The best of all were never to be born.

Sleep is good, death is better; but of course, the best thing would to have never been born at all.

Not to be born at all
Is best, far best that can befall,

To trace the backward way.

Envy, sedition, strife,
Carnage and war, make up the tale of life.

I wish I had never been born — there or anywhere else.

Things that happen before you are born still affect you... And people who come before your time affect you as well. We move through places everyday that would never have been if not for those who came before us. Our workplaces, where we spend so much time - we often think they began with our arrival. That's not true.

Man…who lives in three places – in the past, in the present, and in the future – can be unhappy if one of these three is worthless. Religion has even added a fourth – eternity.

Four things to learn in life: To think clearly without hurry or confusion; To love everybody sincerely; To act in everything with the highest motives; To trust God unhesitatingly.

If you'd never been born, then you might be an Isn't!
An Isn't has no fun at all. No, he disn't.
