How can the past and future be, when the past no longer is, and the future is not yet? As for the present, if it were always present and never moved on to become the past, it would not be time, but eternity.

The past, the present, and the future are really one: they are today

I used to think there was no time like the present. I used to think there was no time <i>but</i> the present. Now I know better — or different, anyway. In the end, the past will always be there. The past is all there is: the present never sticks around for long enough, and the future is anybody’s guess. In time, you always have to hand it to the past. It always gets you in the end.

The past and the future are always present within us.

For the Present is the point at which time touches eternity.

When the past is always with you, it may as well be present; and if it is present, it will be future as well.

There is no future. There is no past. Do you see? Time is simultaneous, an intricately structured jewel that humans insist on viewing one edge at a time, when the whole design is visible in every facet.
