Purity of Heart Is to Will One Thing

Purity of heart is what enables us to see.

There is toxicity everywhere around us. In the environment, in the political atmosphere, but the origin is in people’s hearts. Unless we clean the ecology of our own heart and inspire others to do the same, we will be an instrument of polluting the environment. But if we create purity in our own heart, then we can contribute great purity to the world around us.

True beauty lies in purity of the heart.

If pain can purify the heart, mine will be pure.

The more we come out and do good to others, the more our hearts will be purified, and God will be in them.

Desire to become pure, and, once pure, you will be at ease with yourself, and comfortable in the company of God.

Perfect purity is possible if you turn your life into a line of poetry written with a splash of blood.

So purity of soul is sufficient of itself to reflect God, as the Lord also says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

The heart must be renewed by divine grace, or it will be in vain to seek for purity of life. He who attempts to build up a noble, virtuous character independent of the grace of Christ is building his house upon the shifting sand.

Purity is the power to contemplate defilement.

But I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art.

A clean heart is a free heart. A free heart can love Christ with an undivided love in chastity, convinced that nothing and nobody will separate it from his love. Purity, chastity, and virginity created a special beauty in Mary that attracted God’s attention.

Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable.
